Joe Boyle is a 22 year old filmmaker from Davenport, Iowa.  To date, he has made more than 15 films ranging anywhere from 2 minutes to 88 minutes.  He has not been traditionally trained at all in filmmaking.  His mentality is that learning is best accomplished on the field rather than in the classroom.  He prefers to take on many roles in the filmmaking process, from writer to director to producer to editor, and anything in between.  He believes that the more hands the film passes through, the weaker its vision may become. 

Several of Joe's films have been screened and won awards at various film festivals from Seattle to Los Angeles to cities throughout Iowa.  The most important thing though, is not how many awards a film has won or how many times it has been screened, but how much it affects its audience and how valuable the content is.

Currently, Joe is a senior at Western Illinois University.  He is in the very early stages of writing for his next film.
